In ESSE:   

Multiple-choice example: final exam from Carbon Cycle course, Lehigh University. This exam features questions about the impact of the carbon cycle and uses remote sensing photographs. Although used as a final exam this might also be used in a pre/post situation.

Short Answer example
: final exam from Geography 494B: Global Environmental Change, University of Hawaii. This one-page test features short-answer questions relating to systems impact from environmental changes.

Short Answer Systems-focused example:

Long Answer example: mid-tern exam from Antarctic Marine Ecology and Policy course, University of California, Santa Barbara. This exam consists of long written answers about how the Antarctic marine ecology is changing and how man’s impact is understood.
