The Blue Marble visualization

Resources with remote sensing data sets and visualization tools:

NASA Earth Observatory has a repository of archived data set sorted thematically, with tools to visualize and create time series animations.

NASA's World Wind uses Landsat and Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission data and lets you zoom from satellite altitude into any place on Earth.

NASA's Blue Marble next generation images are static natural color images of the Earth generated form MODIS sensor on Terra satellite.

EarthSLOT builds on remote sensing data to create global terrain visualization.

Google Earth visualization tool for remote sensing and GIS data.

Scientific Visualization Studio of NASA Goddard Space Flight Center has some great animations of the changing cryosphere, hurricanes, and other Earth system processes.

Exploring Earth Home
: Cool visualizations, some of which are based on remote sensing data, while others are based on ancillary data and static graphics. They also maintain links to good online mapping and visualization resources. Site works best with Internet Explorer

Earth Exploration Toolbook is a collection of computer based Earth science activities
