All remote sensing data acquired by the NASAs Earth observing satellites is made available to the users to order though NASA EOS data gateway. Each of NASA's Distributed Active Archive Centers (DAACs) also maintains a repository of satellite data and its own web interface to make data accessible.
A certain level of proficiency is required to know what data sets can be useful for a particular study and how to find and order specific data sets. Most data access websites have a tutorial on how to find and order data. These sites also provide the contact details of a user service department that aids users in the data ordering process.

The following is a list of some important EOS data resources:

  • Goddard DAAC - atmospheric dynamics, upper atmosphere, global biosphere
  • Langley DAAC - radiation budget, clouds, aerosols, tropospheric chemistry
  • National Snow & Ice Data Center - snow cover and avalanches, glaciers and ice sheets, floating ice, ground ice and permafrost, atmospheric ice, extra-terrestrial ices, paleoglaciology and ice cores
  • ASF DAAC – Radar data primarily for the high latitude regions

Besides these sites, every satellite mission has its own webpage and provides a link to where and how a user can order data for the particular satellite.
